Etihad Airways will increase the frequency of flights between Abu Dhabi and New York

< p>Etihad Airways is committed to making travel between the US and the UAE even more convenient by doubling the number of flights on one of the most popular routes to New York.

From April 24, 2023, the carrier will operate 14 direct flights weekly Abu Dhabi – New York to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

The route will be served by Airbus A350 and Boeing 787–9 Dreamliner — two of the most efficient in the world, with significantly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Passengers traveling to the US can use the Pre-Customs Clearance Center, the only US Customs and Border Protection facility in the Middle East. This will allow travelers to the States to clear all immigration, customs and agricultural checks in Abu Dhabi before boarding, avoiding immigration queues upon arrival.

The increased frequency gives customers access to and from 47 destinations across the Americas with codeshare partner Etihad New York's JetBlue.

The news of the expansion comes as Etihad announced further growth in its global networks by resuming flights to Kolkata, as well as offering customers improved access to India and the Gulf region.

With 14 weekly flights to New York-JFK and daily flights to Chicago and Washington this summer, Etihad will offer a total of 28 flights from Abu Dhabi to the US each week.
