Rome Airport introduced a new service for passengers – QPass

Rome Airport has introduced a new service for passengers — QPass

At Rome-Fiumicino International Airport named after Leonardo da Vinci launched the innovative QPass service. It will give passengers the opportunity to better plan their journey and comfortably go through all the necessary procedures at checkpoints.

QPass — a free service that allows passengers to sign up for a specific time and use a special passage and a separate queue at the checkpoint. Access to the service is simple and does not require any registration: the passenger can book a time without leaving home or even at the airport, starting 7 days before departure. On a special website, you need to enter your flight number, the number of passengers and your email address.

Next, the system will prompt you to select a specific time from those available for recording. As soon as the booking is completed, a QR code and a confirmation letter with information about the terminal and the time of the procedures will be sent to the specified e-mail address.

All that remains is to arrive at the selected time at the QPass entrance , show your QR code and access the dedicated entrance and queue for a quick and easy security check.

Fiumicino — the first airport in Italy offering this service. It is available in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. The QPass service is free and is in addition to other ways to get through security: Fast Track premium service, lines for families with prams and “traditional” — through the general queue.

With this system, passengers can now organize their time before departure, quickly pass security checks and thus have more time for themselves, for example, to go shopping or eat before boarding.
