South Korea closed airports around Seoul due to drones

The South Korean military confirmed that on Monday afternoon they scrambled fighter jets and attack helicopters. This happened after North Korean drones cleared the demarcation line through the air without hindrance.

Local media reported that at least one drone even managed to fly over the South Korean capital of Seoul before being shot down.

< p>Yonhap News Agency officially announced that Gimpo and Incheon International Airports were forced to suspend all operations for about an hour due to security threats at the request of the Ministry of Defense.

South Korea's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation confirmed that it had stopped flights in the Seoul area from approximately 13:00 to 14:00 on Monday, but declined to confirm the reason for this decision.
